Built in 2008, it is the first micro-hydroelectric power station in Alsace. It has a power of 2,700 KW and an output of 60 m3/s. The plant produces 20M KWh/year and works thanks to a waterfall of 5.7m, provided by the agricultural dam of Brisach.
Alongside the station, installations have been built to allow fish to pass. Two types of devices have been created: one to ensure the safe migration to the sea, the other to ensure their return to the Vieux Rhin. These ladders have been designed for the sea salmon and trout, local white fish and eels.
